Virtual Camera
the audiences viewpoint

The virtual camera is the point and direction in which the view of a scene is rendered in the computer model. Just as the camera on a movie set provides the point of view of the viewer, (because it is the camera's film that they will watch) the virtual camera in the computer model becomes the viewer's viewpoint in the scene. As such, viewers may physically feel that the movements of the virtual camera, the virtual choreography, are their own movement. The virtual camera becomes a proxy for the viewers presence in the virtual scene.
