This leads me to consider that "organization" is fundamentally related to that coordination of matter and energy which enables and controls the constrained release of energy - work - to be propagated. Such coordination is achieved, fundamentally, by doing work to create structures or flows that alter the potential barriers involved in the release of energy from components in the system. As noted above, constraint begets work begets constraint.
