During PreFlux we realised that the virtual choreography of the RAVE was effectively another performative entity within the piece: as different yet as important as, say sound or music is from actual dancers or actors onstage. The RAVE provides an immersive context for the performance yet suggests visual and spatial cues which effect how the performance is read by the viewer. Hence the technology and the computer operator, later called the cyber-dancer are in fact a performer in their own right. Later this concept was developed into the Cyborg.
